Analyst Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov offered a blunt assessment of Valeriy “SSS” Lazarev’s performances for PARIVISION’s Dota 2 roster, saying the new offlaner cannot yet be considered a tier‑1 player. Kuznetsov indicated that, for now, SSS falls short of the level expected from a top‑tier three/ offlane player and is still playing at a tier‑2 pace and mindset.
“PARIVISION are effectively playing with four; they don’t have a functioning ‘three’,” Kuznetsov said, describing SSS as a player who currently doesn’t carry the role. He allowed that Lazarev might have potential and could improve in the future, but stressed that at the moment he looks like a tier‑2 player accustomed to the tempo and patterns of competition at that level.
Kuznetsov contrasted SSS with his predecessor, Dmitriy “DM” Dorokhin, noting DM’s long tenure at the top level. “Whatever DM’s flaws, he was still a tier‑1 player with huge experience. He’d played tier‑1 Dota for about ten years,” Kuznetsov said, arguing that Lazarev lacks comparable experience and game understanding. According to the analyst, PARIVISION’s games suffer because the team’s three position is occupied by a passive, slower player who often seems unsure about what is happening in matches.
SSS joined PARIVISION on February 1, replacing DM in the offlane. With Lazarev in the lineup, the team has been competing at DreamLeague Season 28. As of the article’s publication, PARIVISION had not won any series in the second group stage of that event.
Kuznetsov’s appraisal highlights PARIVISION’s current struggles to adapt to the roster change and the importance of an experienced, decisive three position in high‑level Dota. He left open the possibility that SSS could grow into the role, but for now he sees the team operating below the tier‑1 standard they would need to contend at the highest level.
