Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen responds to Astralis’ extensive CS2 roster overhaul ahead of BLAST Bounty Winter 2026

Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen, the captain of Astralis’ CS2 roster, publicly reacted to the recent reshuffle within the Danish organization. In his message on the social platform X, HooXi noted that the team has gone through substantial changes and expressed enthusiasm about the next chapter for Astralis.

In his post HooXi wrote that there are “many changes and a new, exciting chapter for Astralis” and added that he cannot wait for the team to start working together. The short statement underlined both the scale of the alterations and the squad’s positive outlook as they prepare to build chemistry with the new lineup.

The revamped Astralis roster was announced on January 8. Two players joined the active lineup: Lav “phzy” Smidebrant and Gytis “ryu” Glusauskas. They have taken the places previously occupied by Nicolai “device” Reedtz and Emil “Magisk” Reif, respectively. The moves mark a clear shift in the team’s composition and strategy going forward.

Astralis is expected to debut the new five at the BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 event, scheduled for January 13–18. The organization and its new roster will be closely watched as fans and analysts look to see how quickly the reconfigured squad adapts and performs in its first official outing.
