The Eastern European Dota 2 team Cheeki_Breeki has ceased operations, the squad's former support player Egor Lipartia, known as Xakoda, reported in a message on Telegram. The announcement follows the team's recent elimination from the DreamLeague Season 28 qualifying stage.
According to Xakoda, the team were knocked out after losing in the closed qualifiers. He wrote that, after that defeat, the players decided they no longer wanted to continue playing together because of differing vibes within the group. He added that he plans to focus on solo play — grinding rank and looking after his own form — after struggling with his morale over the past months.
Cheeki_Breeki had previously won the open qualifier for DreamLeague Season 28 in the Eastern Europe region, which propelled them into the closed qualifying event. In the closed stage the team lost two consecutive matches and failed to secure a slot in the main tournament.
The only confirmed former member mentioned in the announcement was support Egor "Xakoda" Lipartia. The original report did not provide a full list of the roster that has left or any immediate plans for the other players.
Xakoda framed the split without bitterness, noting that it comes early in the year and expressing a forward-looking attitude about future opportunities. For now, he intends to prioritize personal recovery and individual performance rather than continuing with the previous lineup.
