Deadlock hits 117,000 concurrent players after Silver launch
Release of new hero Silver boosts Deadlock to 117,000 simultaneous users — third character in 'Old Gods, New Blood' update

The release of a new playable character, Silver, caused the number of concurrent players in Deadlock to climb to 117,000, according to data from SteamDB. The spike followed the hero's addition to the roster and represented a significant uptick in active users for the title.

A similar level of simultaneous players was last seen in July 2024, when the developer began granting access to closed testing. Deadlock’s all-time concurrent peak remains 171,500 players, recorded on 26 August 2024. After that peak the game’s active player count typically stayed below 20,000, until the online population began rising again toward the end of summer 2025.

Silver is the third of six heroes planned as part of the "Old Gods, New Blood" update, a rollout in which the community votes to determine the order in which new characters are released. Earlier additions in the same cycle included the female necromancer Graves and the character Drema, described as a cat in pajamas.

The next hero in the update schedule is set to be released on February 6 at 01:00 Moscow time. The ongoing sequence of character drops and community-driven selection has coincided with renewed player interest and the recent surge in concurrent users.
