The Community Awards are returning as part of the HLTV Awards 2025, featuring five categories decided by the community: Talent of the Year, Event of the Year, Creator of the Year, Streamer of the Year and Skin of the Year.

Bogdan Vasilenko, better known by his handle Iceberg, recently reflected on his professional Dota 2 career and assessed what he believes he could have achieved. In a candid conversation, he said he sometimes wishes he could go back to the Winstrike Team period and push further on issues he prefers not to describe in detail.

Valve has tightened the rules for tournament organizers, explicitly banning advertising and sponsorship from gambling services tied to in-game cases and skin trading. The new requirements apply to both ranked and unranked championships: sites that allow users to open cases or buy and sell skins can no longer be promoted at Valve-sanctioned events, and their logos are forbidden on team jerseys or any broadcast-visible material.
