Content creator Vitaliy "Papich" Tsal spoke sharply about the work of the game publishers Ubisoft and Blizzard, offering a blunt assessment of how both companies have evolved. An excerpt of his remarks was later circulated online.
A viewer message cited during the exchange claimed that "Ubisoft is the same as Blizzard: early on they had quality titles like Heroes of Might and Magic and Warcraft, but now — endless [nonsense] and LGBT*." Tsal pushed back on the historical claim: Heroes of Might and Magic was not a Ubisoft product, and he recalled that the franchise was originally associated with a different developer and publisher, something like New World Computing. He argued that Ubisoft has never been primarily known as a developer and questioned which genuinely strong, original projects the company has produced—mentioning Far Cry 3 skeptically and saying he was unsure whether Ubisoft actually developed that entry itself.
Tsal conceded that Blizzard once produced legendary, genre-defining games but said the studio later fell into decline. Still, he defended at least one Blizzard product, noting that Hearthstone was initially a well-crafted game. By contrast, he described Ubisoft as having been, for him, a net negative for the industry and called it one of the most discredited companies over time.
Earlier, streamer and commentator Ilya "Maddyson" Davydov had voiced a similar critique of Ubisoft, arguing that the publisher frequently releases unsuccessful titles but manages to survive financially thanks to the continuing commercial strength of franchises such as Assassin's Creed and Just Dance.
