Paramount Pictures and Legendary, in collaboration with Capcom, have announced a feature-film adaptation of the Street Fighter fighting-game franchise. The production is scheduled to premiere on October 16, 2026.
Cast announced for the film includes Andrew Koji (known for Warrior) as Ryu.
Noah Centineo (known for To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) will play Ren.
Kalina Liang (credited for How to Hack an Exam) will portray Chun-Li.
Cody Rhodes, the professional wrestler, has been cast as Guile.
Musician Orville Peck will take on the role of Vega.
Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson (musician and actor) is set to play Balrog.
Jason Momoa (Aquaman) will appear as Blanka.
Vidyut Jammwal (action star) has been cast as Dhalsim.
Olivier Richters (seen in Jack Reacher) will portray Zangief.
Hirooki Goto (wrestler) will play Honda.
David Dastmalchian (credited for Midnight with the Devil) is cast as M. Bison.
Roman Reigns (professional wrestler) will appear as Akuma.
Andrew Schulz (known for Mean Pete) will play Dan Hibiki.
Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show) is set to portray Don Sovazh.
Melanie Jarnson (credited with Mortal Kombat) will play Cammy.
Raina Vallandingham, a taekwondo athlete, will appear as Julie.
Alexander Volkanovski (mixed martial artist) has been cast as Joe.
The project initially had brothers Michael and Danny Philippou attached to direct, but they exited in June 2024 citing scheduling conflicts. Legendary and Capcom had hoped to begin filming quickly, but the filmmakers chose to prioritize production of the film "Return Her" in partnership with A24. In February 2025 the director's chair was filled by Kitao Sakurai, whose credits include the film "Skrezhet Metala" and work on The Eric Andre Show.
