Path of Exile 2 will host a free weekend event to coincide with the launch of its major expansion, The Last of the Druids. The free play period will run from December 12 through December 15, giving players an opportunity to try the new content without immediate purchase.
During the free weekend, players will receive complete access to all Path of Exile 2 content. All progress made during the event will be retained, allowing participants to continue advancing the same characters if they later acquire the Supporter Pack or when the full version of the game becomes available.
The Last of the Druids expansion is scheduled for release on December 12. The update brings a new playable class, a dungeon-run mode called "Vaal Fate," thirty new support gems, eleven new unique equipment items, and a variety of other additions and changes to the game.
With the free weekend timed to the expansion's release, both newcomers and returning players will be able to experience the new class, mechanics, and loot immediately and keep their progress if they decide to stay.
