Pixar has announced its upcoming animated feature Jumpers, which is scheduled to be released on March 6. The studio has shared early information about the project as it approaches its release date.
The story centers on a girl named Mabel who invents a unique technology that allows her consciousness to transfer into an animal's body. In the course of her experiments she ends up inhabiting the body of a mechanical beaver, setting the stage for her adventures and the challenges that follow.
The film is directed by Daniel Chong, best known for the animated series All the Truth About Bears. The voice cast includes Meryl Streep, Dave Franco, Jon Hamm and other performers. Further details about the production and additional cast members are expected to be revealed closer to the release.
