Eric Engel, known in the Dota 2 scene as tOfu, who plays the support position for Team Liquid, commented on how the organization has adjusted its working processes after he and Marcus “Ace” Hølgård joined the roster. According to the player, the changes have been evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
tOfu emphasized that neither he nor Ace initiated a complete overhaul of the team’s structure. "I wouldn't say that Ace and I radically changed the structure of work," he noted, stressing that the squad’s routines and internal processes continue to develop over time.
He added that the team is constantly experimenting and refining its approach: small adjustments are being made as they learn, rather than sweeping reforms. The most pressing issues, he said, have already been addressed and smoothed out, which has allowed the squad to make meaningful progress.
Looking ahead, tOfu expressed optimism: with the main problems mitigated and a clearer framework in place, he expects the team to keep improving and becoming more cohesive. The emphasis, he suggested, is on gradual improvement rather than sudden transformation.
Earlier, tOfu also spoke about his experience adapting to a new role, his work with the coaching staff, and the transition he went through after leaving his previous team, Gaimin Gladiators. His comments paint a picture of a team in steady evolution, focused on incremental gains and better coordination rather than dramatic internal restructuring.
